About half of the ~160k service members that separate each year from active duty pursue full-time education en route to civilian employment. They are in "extended transition".​​

There are ~900k Military-affiliated students using DoD Tuition Assistance & VA Benefits. Many of them are in "extended transition".

Many are enrolled in online-based schools. Virtual career readiness delivery is key.​​

Many service members are pursuing degrees & certificates while they are still on active duty.

Many of those in Reserve or Guard units are pursuing degrees & certificates.

Military Spouses are often leveraging dependent benefits.
Awareness & championship of all military-ready pathways opportunities can be critical
for student outcomes.​​

Yet many campus-based recruiters aren't aware of military-specific pathways at their company. Further, most schools do not have military-specific career resources.​
We believe that community colleges & universities can be collaboration, engagement & upskilling hubs for ALL military families & employers in our communities. We want to support their efforts toward workforce development outcomes, beyond the degree.
